Welcome to Captain Chaotica's Animated Harem!

Hi, all! This is my harem of animated people that I like. First, of course, we've got the Animated Lusts, and then we have Favourites, Friends and Soulmates. Enjoy!
Note: My policy is that once I liked somebody in here enough to put them in here, they STAY in here, no matter what. Even if later on my feelings for them change. So some of the characters here may no longer be my favourites...right NOW...but my thinking is: If I liked them enough to put them in here once, then maybe going back and watching/playing the thing they're in again will remind me why.
Occasionally, (and I'm referring to both the harem and the Favourites pages, here) the character might change in personality to a point where I just don't like them that much anymore. In that case, they stay in here anyway--in memory of when they WERE cool.

Crushes!

These are animated guys that I have a crush on for whatever reason--ranging from "needs-a-cuddle" to out and out animated LUST. ;) Species, age, etc. doesn't matter (well, to a degree anyway.) You'll find all styles here, from anime to Disney, from modern polygon video game bishies to simpler comic-book style guys. (And yes, I DO count video games as a style of animation--why not? Many feature animated movies these days are entirely done with computer graphics!) Enjoy--but please, don't touch, or I'll be forced to do something really totally unpleasant to you. Possibly involving spleens.

(In alphabetical order, since I'm too indecisive to do them any other way...)

Last updated June 14, 2007.

Alfonso (Video game: "Skies of Arcadia" for the Sega Dreamcast)
Aiyaa! (Sighs). Look at him. Just LOOK at him. The first Admiral of the Valuan Fleet, may be the FOOFIEST and most spoiled little BRAT you ever did meet, but....sigh...isn't he a dreamboat? And besides, he keeps getting beat up rather badly throughout the game--every other scene, SPLAT, something heavy falls on him...heh. You gotta feel a LITTLE sorry for the foof after a while...

Seifer Almasy (Video game: "Final Fantasy 8" for computer/Playstation)
Seifer is...a really big exception. I mean, I normally would NEVER expect to find somebody like him in my harem. Thing is, see, I don't like tall. I don't like blonde. I don't like typical movie-star-handsome square faces.
And yet...Seifer somehow manages to take all those features I normally find boring...and make them SEXY.
Maybe it's his stark colouring--the blonde is such a pretty bright golden, the eyes are so intensely blue...maybe it's his cold, dark smirk (I am such a sucker for a guy with a good smirk).
But, most of all, it's probably the fact that he's so...RANDOM. Seifer is a vicious, cold, cruel bully, but he's got real feelings, too, and he's so unpredictable, you literally NEVER know what he's going to do next. And when he turns on you, he REALLY turns on you. He'll sell straight out to the highest bidder but he's just so damn intriguing. Yeah, he's a jerk, but...every girl's gotta have at least one exception to her usual "rules". ;)

(Dr. Reginald) Bushroot ("Darkwing Duck")
So he's a plant. So WHAT? He's one of the cuddliest pookies I've ever met. He's desperately lonely, and although he's called a "villian" he really isn't evil at all. (Interestingly, when I tested him out on a D&D alignment personality quiz, he turned out Neutral Good...) And he's a scientist, I adore characters with brains and weird creativity. He also reminds me a LOT of a favourite Star Trek character of mine, Reginald Barclay. I say: Put away that weed-killer! Reggie's not a thorn in St. Canard's side. He's really just a shy violet who needs attention.

Imp y Celyn ("Soul Music" cartoon miniseries, "Discworld" (Cosgrove Hall Productions))
A bit obscure; this nice young man is from the animated miniseries version of (my favourite) Discworld book, "Soul Music". I wish I could find GOOD pictures from this thing...sigh. Anyway, Imp y Celyn is a young bard from Llamedos, who runs away to the Big City to seek his fortune....and....well...let's just say he both gets into and causes a LOT of trouble by the time the whole thing is over. The "lust reasons" I chose him include super-high cheekbones, lovely soft dark brown curls, huge, slanty pale blue eyes like those of an elf, and a GORGEOUS voice. Both talking, where it's husky and sexy with a lilting, melodic Welsh accent, and singing, where it's strong and energetic and can tackle many different types of music equally well. He's also sweet, innocent, vulnerable, and, by the end, you can REALLY feel sorry for him--but in the interest of not giving away spoilers I won't say why.
And bards just rock in general. (And this bard "rocks", LITERALLY...) I almost always like the artist/entertainer character of the bunch, in fantasy novels, for some reason...

Fenton Crackshell ("DuckTales")
Most people who even remember Fenton don't like him much, it seems. He is the man--or duck, whatever--inside Gizmoduck, and I find him FAR more likeable when he's being his normal self. Those of you who only know him from his appearances on Darkwing do NOT know the real character. He was written horribly out of character on Darkwing...
The real Fenton? Well, he's sweet, goofy, and ditzy. He is often referred to (even by himself) as an "idiot", but to me he doesn't seem like one. Sure, sometimes really obvious things whoosh by right over his head and he has a tendency to take figures of speech literally (liquid assets? frozen assets? snicker) but on the other hand, he's very quick-thinking, resourceful, creative, can get himself out of--or into--a jam in no time flat, and has more than a bit of con-artist and ACTING talents. Including a real knack for voices and accents. Oh, and he's BRILLIANT with math. He's also totally devoted to his girlfriend, and last but not least, he makes me LAUGH! A lot. Hard. Fenton and, as Gizmoduck, has SO many hysterical, quotable lines...
He comes up with plans very quickly; they may not always be the RIGHT plans, but hey...
I also sympathise with him as my own living situation is rather similar; I am very definitely "working class". So I know where he's coming from.

Cube (Computer game: "Princess Maker 2" and anime: "Puchi Puri Yuushi")
This adorable little catlike/elfin fellow is actually a young demon nobleman (or so many websites about the game say; I myself am not sure where they're getting "nobleman" from). But I am sure that he's from Princess Maker 2--an obscure but great game--he's your household butler, and last but not least, he is THE MOST ADORABLE LITTLE POOKIE WHO EVER LIVED!! (glomps him). I swear...those cute widdle pointy ears...that gorgeous silky, glossy black hair...those wings... And he's got THE most adorably expressive face. I mean, come on. I dare you to look at this picture and NOT die from the overdose of pure kawaiiness.
Physical appearance aside, the _main_ reason I like Cube is his personality. He's totally sweet, caring, tender, and loyal. He works tirelessly for the main character of the game (aka you) for years on end without ever asking for time off or a raise (for that matter, I'm not sure he's even being paid...) He does jobs that go way above and BEYOND the call of duty of a real-life butler, such as supervising your daughter when she's being bad, rescuing her when she falls in battle, buying her birthday presents for you, and bringing out equipment to her that she forgot to take along (although he does grumble a bit at that last one. ;)) He also keeps a better watch on her health than you do. And most of the time he's prim and proper like a butler should be, but sometimes he shows REAL emotion--like in one memorable scene, where he _swears_ at a bad guy.
Now add to all of this his rather substantial mystery factor. Why the heck is a demon working for the great Hero who _defeated_ Satan and his minions, in the first place? And boy, talk about a misfit...his personality is way more like that of an angel. (My personal pet theory is that he was kicked out of Hell for not being evil enough!) How old is he? What did he do before working for the Hero? And he's obviously got abilities he doesn't talk about--such as how he always knows where the daughter is/how she's feeling, how he can carry her easily no matter how big/heavy she gets, even though he appears to be really little, how his wings only show up when he's using them, etc.
Exotic, adorable appearance...personality that screams "Hug me!"...interesting powers...and mysterious background. Add those together and you get: instant love! :)
Then there's his part in "Puchi Puri Yuushi", which is an anime series loosely based off the "Princess Maker" games. There are several differences, such as how he's more humanoid, but also more exotic looking (picture), and his personality/role has been tweaked a bit--he's now more like a sidekick than a servant and seems younger, more...teenagery. He's more slangy and casual, and gets into actual physical adventures WITH "the young mistress" rather than just rescuing her when she gets in trouble. Both versions are very appealing, but since I got to know the game version first, I listed him under that. Besides, the game version is the original...

Sentaro Daimonji ("Ranma 1/2")
...aka "Tea-Boy". Sentaro is a minor character who has only appeared in a few episodes (and in the original manga version only appeared once), and most fans hate his guts. Why do I like him? Well, first of all, take a look ;) and more importantly, he's just fun. He tries to be a villian and can be quite despicable, but his dramatic entrances and exits are always ruined by his own innate goofiness. He's clumsy and selfish, but you can feel sorry for him because he is treated something awful by his horrible old grandmother. And, last but not least, he's dubbed (in the English version) by Brad Swaile, who also plays the voice of my favourite anime character ever--MOUSSE! :) Sentaro is a minor character, but he definitely perks up any episode he's in. Er...no pun meant there. Oh, wait, COFFEE perks, not tea... :P

Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck (teenage versions) ("Quack Pack")
Yeah, I know, it sounds like an odd choice, but as teenagers these boys are just so darn CUTE! And fluffy. I like fluffy. :) They all have fun and interesting personality traits. Huey, with his 600 pounds of masculinity stuffed into a..., what, 70-pound? body, is my favourite of the three...I don't know what, but something about him is just sexy...but I've decided I like the other two enough as well to put them here. Dewey is a budding young inventor type/hacker/math-whiz and I do like a man with brains; and Louie is sweet, naive, and idealistic--he believes in causes and tries to fight for what's right...when he can tear himself away from his comic books. All three of them have something interesting to offer, so I say...why settle for less? ;)

Eric the Cavalier ("Dungeons and Dragons" cartoon)
From the "Dungeons and Dragons" cartoon, Eric is, along with Presto, easily one of the most entertaining aspects of the show. He's deliciously sarcastic--most of the series' best lines come from him--he's more than a bit cowardly (has a tendency to do a SCREECH that ends at a pitch only birds can hear and then leap about a mile into the air when he sees a monster), and a spoiled, rich, brat. All of which sounds like it'd make him horrible, but no, it makes him more INTERESTING than most of the other main characters, because he has flaws. And underneath his constant bluster about how rich and important he is, you get the feeling that his upbringing was cold and lonely and his father was not a very nice man. He's also the only one who ever questions orders or leadership and sets out on his own way--he's usually WRONG, but the point is he doesn't just go along and "be a team player"; he's more individual. Eric's got layers to him. All in all, a character who's somewhat annoying--but worth getting to know.
And with cheekbones and a nice bod, too. ;)

Etoh ("Record of Lodoss War")
Record of Lodoss War is a very heavily D&D-influenced anime series/miniseries. From my previous track record, you'd EXPECT my favourite character from such a thing to be something like the wizard or the thief, right? So would I.
But no. I was surprised to find myself, by episode 2, starting to fall for the cleric! Etoh is a sweet, humble little guy who's really kind of cute, if you think about it...he's not quite my usual type, but cute. (And he reminds me of Mousse but with shorter hair, in a way.) I assume he does have a few other fans, but you won't see people singing his praises very often on the 'net, as most Record of Lodoss War sites just go on and on and ON about how cool Deedlit is. Or they go all "shipper" and romantic kissy-faced googly-eyed over the relationship between her and Parn, the fighter. Or they worship the villian characters. Feh. Feh to being mainstream.
Etoh is...well, there's just something about a male healer character. I really love the scenes where he's actually doing his healing magic on someone, because that shows him being tender and nurturing and shows him doing what he's really GOOD at, and that's a one-two punch, for me. (I love to watch male characters that I have a crush on do something they really love--when they're doing something they really love, they are more...ALIVE, more vital, more vibrant.) He's not a wimp or a coward, though; he can also be quite brave, and is willing to help out in a fight.
Unfortunately he didn't get to do much in the miniseries and I haven't yet seen the main one (in which he's not even one of the adventurers, at all), but I do know that from what we DID get to see of him, Etoh is totally my kind of precious little pookie.

Edgar Roni Figaro (Video game: "Final Fantasy 6" for Super Nintendo) (no decent official picture currently available, so I used my own fan-art)
This dashing young King is so pretty, elegant, has such killer fashion sense and is so brave and funny that it's hard NOT to like him..despite the fact that he chases absolutely anything in a skirt. ;) I don't think he's actually a disgusting LECH, though, or a male chauvanist pig (as many fans of the game do)...just flirty. I must admit that I am a total sucker for good fashion sense, and I simply ADORE that 1700's style on guys. Ruffles at the wrists, knee-breeches and tights, cravat, long velvet coat, embroidered vest, and long hair...sigh. Edgar is one heck of a fashion plate for a little 16-bit character. ;) He's also a mechanical genius and can fix and use just about any wacky device, and make it into a powerful weapon: how's that for cool? There's definitely some brains under the pretty face and the testosterone poisoning. ;)

Lord Monty Fiske/Monkey Fist ("Kim Possible") Despite his odd simian obsession, Monkey Fist is possibly my favourite villian on Kim Possible (tying narrowly with Shego but for different reasons.) In "harem" terms...he may not be traditionally handsome, no, but something about him is still...interesting. Maybe it's the voice, the thick black hair, the high cheekbones, the awesome fashion sense...and the sneakiness. I don't think any of the other of Kim Possible's foes managed to even temporarily make her think they were actually a good guy; but Lord Fiske pulled it off with style, and he strikes me as more intelligent/practical than most of her other main foes, too. And there's just something about a vililan who offers the captured hero(ine) a cup of tea, first thing... (giggles) Of course, most people don't use their FEET to pour the tea while balancing on a narrow beam...
He's a bit odd, yeah, but hey--he's a slender (but strong) brunette Englishman, who combines an uppah-clahss British accent and charming manner (when he cares to use it, at least) with truly cool old-timey style Chinese and Japanese silk clothes and expert martial arts skills. And he has a CASTLE. And instead of your standard big dumb slow henchmen, his minions are ninjas--EXPONENTIALLY cooler. What's not to like?
Okay, so he's a deranged mutant supervillian; and your point is...? ;)

Frederik ("Puchi Puri Yuushi")
This truly lovely bishounen is a minor-ish, yet intersting, character on the obsure little anime, "Puchi Puri Yuushi". He is a servitor of some kind at the castle, although exactly WHAT his job is I can't reveal, as that ties into one of the series' main spoilers. (Actually it's not THAT much of a secret--it's pretty easily guessable, especially by anybody who's played any of the "Princess Maker" games, which the series is (loosely) based off of, but better to err on the side of caution.)
Frederik at first seems totally stuffy and strict, but as the series goes on, you sometimes see him doing this wry little smile at things you would have expected to shock him, and he seems to have a bit of a sarcastic sense of humour. In other words, another cool snooty butler type. I just seem to like those for some reason... ;)

Gyro Gearloose ("DuckTales")
Gyro is definitely my type, and I knew he was from the moment I first saw him. Not only is he CUTE--tall and skinny with sharp features, those little spectacles, and FLUFFY red hair (can ya tell I have a thing for long or at least fluffy hair? ;), but an inventor, another type I always automatically like. But there's even more to it than that. Gyro is, of course, a character who's been around for a long time, but I met him for the first time in the year 2002. Anyway, he's a goofy inventor who secretly dreams of being a great, heroic knight.
Well, over a DECADE ago, I made up a character for the Dragonlance universe--a Tinker-Gnome character named Gnera. She was an inventor like all of her race but secretly wanted to be something else. Something more...dashing. Such as maybe...join those KNIGHTS of Solamnia who live right on the same island?! It was a pretty obvious idea, I thought. There have been both female and non-human Knights before, and the Knights get ALONG with the Gnomes, they LIKE them, so...?
Oh, AND she built a time-machine...a clanky, weird-looking one made out of random spare parts...
Heck, "Gyro Gearloose" even sounds like the kind of NAMES the Gnomes have! At any rate, Gnera is one heck of a freaky coincidence. And she's part of the reason I like Gyro. I like him because he seems like the kind of character I would write! :P

Gilder the Air-Pirate ("Skies of Arcadia")
Gilder is a smooth, suave, sexy con-man, thief, and general adventurer of the skies. He has at least one woman in every port, or so he brags, and visits many ports because he's always moving. He also has a killer fashion sense (and get a load of those little reading glasses, EEK! Not many men could make what's ordinarily thought of as an old lady's reading accessory sexy, but Gilder does it somehow) and a fast-talking type of charm. Normally I'd never like a male chauvanist pig like him (read the quote at the bottom of his picture!) but he's dashingly heroic, and has a core of real decency underneath the slick-talking and flirting. Someday, perhaps he will settle down with the right girl...or three...
If we need a pilot for the harem, Gilder would be a good choice to fly us all somewhere.

Goofy(Various old Disney shorts, "Goof Troop", "A Goofy Movie", "An Extremely Goofy Movie", "House of Mouse", etc.)
(Picture: A hand-snapped screenshot from the 1941 short "Baggage Buster".)
Yes, Goofy and yes, really. Sure, he's not traditionally handsome. Sure, he's a dork, and a clutz, and not too bright. But he's sweet, honest and true, open-minded, adventurous, willing to give ANYbody the benefit of the doubt (even villians!), so full of life and energy, completely unpretentious, and is far more concerned with being HIMSELF than following trends. And he sometimes seems lonely, poor guy. (On "House of Mouse", anyway. They also write him a bit smarter there, which is nice.) He'll wear whatever's comfortable even if it's out of style, sing loudly to music that hasn't been popular for decades and dance like an uncoordinated loon in public, with no embarrassment whatsoever--because there isn't actually anything wrong with it! And the reason WHY I find these traits attractive?
Because I act that way, TOO!
Oh, and he also likes cats, which is automatically cool. :)
Now, in case you're wondering why he's in my harem instead of the "Favourites" section, it's because...well, it's not actual LUST, per se, but a homely person can seem "cute" to somebody who's fallen for their personality. (Trust me on this.) I just want to hug the loveable gleep, hang out with him and laugh, and for some reason, I love his long floppy ears. (giggle) They're just so...flowy, and expressive. Also, he's adorably scrawny, and the black fur all over is cool-lookin'. (I'm not the only female to find him attractive..he's had at least four semi-canon mates/girlfriends over the years, in actual Disney-made stuff. He's also the only one out of the oldschool Disney characters to have a kid! Two, if you count George Geef's little "Junior", from the 1950s shorts...don't ask about that, long story.)

Hahn (Video game: "Phantasy Star IV" for the Sega Genesis)
I like Hahn because he's NOT a typical hero like all the others. He's a semi-decent fighter and a good healer, very useful in battle, but in actuality he never really wanted to be an adventurer at all. He's really a professor at the Motavia Academy who got dragged into this whole mess because of his morbid curiosity--and ended up having to spend what was going to be his wedding fund on paying Alys Brangwyn, the mercenary, to protect him! Quiet, intellectual, sweet and the only character in the game to have a healthy, steady relationship, Hahn is not well-liked by most players of this game, but for me he really stands out. And best of all is the fact that he's NOT a great, super-powerful hero--so that he more represents ordinary people. Like us, the players.
If we're handing out "jobs" to harem members, I guess he could be our doctor, too.

Hercules ("Hercules: The Animated Series")
Okay, gotta explain something here: I want YOUNG, teenaged, Herc ONLY, in my harem. The older version does NOT interest me at all. Huge muscles, super-broad shoulders, typical standard cliche hero square jaw and all that...BOOOOrrriiinnnggg. But, teen Hercules, that's a different story! I just wanted to cuddle this adorable gawky, skinny-but-wiry little redhead the instant I saw him! I also like his big blue eyes... And even though he's a doofus, he's sweet and always manages to save the day SOMEhow, even if at least half of it is trashed by the end of the episode. ;) He's MUCH more likeable and interesting--and cuter--when he is, as his theme song says, a "zero" rather than a "hero". Well, you're at LEAST a 7 in my book, Herc.

Hermes("Hercules: The Animated Series")
At first I didn't think much of this character, but underneath the beatnik-slang (which annoyed me at first) Hermes is really very likeable. He was always my favourite in the original myths, and the cartoon version is pretty cool, too. The main thing I like about him is how he's...not stuck up. He'll just show up and casually chit-chat with you, and is willing to do menial things that even other MORTALS look down upon--such as cook in a fast-food kitchen--cheerfully and at a moment's notice. I can just see me and him...hangin' down at the Speedy Pita, or MSTing a bad play together. ;) Plus, he's a musician on the side; how cool is that? :)
Another neat thing is, you'd EXPECT somebody that fast-paced to have a hyperactive, tightly-wound personality--so the fact that he's so very laid-back and casual is better, because it's different. It still makes me wonder if he's been niping at the nectar a little too hard, though, ifyagetwhatimean. ;) (And obviously he doesn't nip at the ambrosia quite enough--I mean, LOOK at him! Gah! One gust of wind could blow him away! Which is probably a common occupational hazard, in his line of work.)
And I've decided I LIKE the little sunglasses (actually prescription sunglasses, and for some reason, I just find the idea of a nearsighted god so...amusingly...adorable--or is it adorably amusing?) and the hep-cat lingo. It's, well...okay, so it's very wrong for the original Hermes, but this is, like, an alternate-universe version. (If you grew up with even a slightly unwatered-down version of the original myths, thinking of the cartoon as a paralell universe is just about necessary, to truly enjoy it.) It's right for HIM. He wouldn't be him if he didn't have those traits.
I just love his character design--unlike most of the other gods, he's rather small (about the size of a short-but-not-abnormally-so adult human male, in the rare occasions when he's seen standing on the ground.) and he's so thin and...fragile looking. I can't put it into words, but SOMEthing about this tiny, fluttering little blue butterfly makes me want to glomp him out of the air and hold him still for a bit... :P
No, he's not handsome. But love doesn't have to make SENSE, it just happens, POW, zing, outta nowhere, babe! (Cupid: "HEY, hey, what's this 'out of nowhere' business? I work VERY HARD on my love-arrows!") Many females have crushes on men that aren't beautiful (For example, Hades and Icarus both aren't exactly traditional matinee idol material, either...and they have VERY..enthusiastic femme followings.) So though he may not be a movie star, let's hear it for the boy! Er, god. Whatever. ;)

Tsubasa Kurenai ("Ranma 1/2")
Here we see a rare shot of Tsubasa as his REAL self. He's a crossdresser and damn good at it, and for most of the one--sigh, only one, alas--episode that he's in, he totally fools you into thinking he's a pretty, cute little GIRL! He's a skirt-chasing weirdo who looks better in a dress than in pants, but how can you not like a master of disguise with such lovely long flowing hair? ;) Many other characters have only shown up in one episode, but Tsubasa is the "one-time guest-star" that really stood out, in my mind. Plus, his episode was so FUNNY.

Squall Leonheart ("Final Fantasy 8")
The main hero of the game started off as one of the most UNLIKEABLE little annoying angsty sods you'll ever meet, all moping and "leave me alone" and "whatever" obnoxious trendy Generation X-er slackerness, but, he improves quite a lot as the game goes on. He can eventually admit he loves Rinoa out loud, in public, where it counts, and that's not something that can be said of all men.
Also, look at this picture, just LOOK at it. Siiiiiiggggh. (And he and Seifer would make one hell of a hot couple, as was more than slightly hinted at with some of the actual game dialogue...) Why can't they make them like this in real life...? Only with a more interesting personality. :P

Link! ("The Legend of Zelda" cartoon)
Ah, LINK-baby! If I was doing this harem by seniority, he'd be the King. Link was my very first Animated Lust, or at least the first cartoon character I can clearly remember lusting after, anyway. I LOVED the Legend of Zelda cartoon, but one day I realised that (a) I enjoyed the cartoon far more when I could watch it alone with nobody else seeing my face; why was that? and (b) I was always defending Link to my friends, to myself--listing all his bad personality traits (and there are many!) but then ending with "but I like him anyway!"--and why was that? The answer to both was: I THOUGHT HE WAS HOT STUFF! :P Once I realised that, everything fell into place: I wanted to be alone so I could drool and stare freely, and I defended him because he was so cute, I wanted to see past the arrogance and male chauvanism. In actuality, Link's personality isn't THAT bad; he's just persistent in his courtship of Zelda. He has a wonderful sense of sarcasm and some real feelings underneath; and he really IS a hero, very good with a sword. He can also be seriously dorky sometimes. At any rate, this little elven cutie with the fluffy dark brown hair and the catchy slogans was the first animated guy to capture my heart. (At least, that I was consciously aware of.)

Prince Lyle of Shusoran (Video game: "Phantasy Star III" for the Sega Genesis)
NOBODY is gonna know who this guy is but I don't care! Prince Lyle is a character from the game Phantasy Star III (which is the least-liked of the series by most fans--not me, though) and this prince just oozes sexiness in so many ways. First off, he's a wizard, and wizards are just automatically COOL, but he's a lithe, muscular, wizard who can also fight! Brains AND brawn, whoah, you don't find that very often in the same package. He's witty, clever, smooth and unpredictable, and the smirk on his face is very sensual, I think. He works hard, he plays hard, and he cares very deeply about his kingdom and will do almost ANYthing to help them. He's also very loyal and protective of his family. He can also turn into a DRAGON, how cool is THAT! Oh, AND he's a Prince, of course, with all the wealth and power that implies, if that's your thing (it's not mine). Lyle is definitely one of the neatest video game characters I've ever met--and with that body and that flowing green ponytail, DAMN HOT to boot! ;) (The picture, in case you're wondering, is NOT fan-art: it's official manga artwork from the guy who actually designed the characters from the game.)

Megavolt ("Darkwing Duck")
Actually this is a picture of him when he was a teenager, as Elmo Sputterspark. But this is the version I find him actually cute in. Megavolt...well...I'm not sure if it's exactly a lust type crush, but I definitely have a bit of a thing about him. He's got a tragic past, and I can TOTALLY sympathise with how he got treated in school as, being a fellow nerd, I got treated much the same way. And he's very very WEIRD. And he's FUNNY. I love men who can make me laugh. He's got many if not most of the best quotable lines on the show, it seems. And his powers ROCK, and he can do a big variety of things with them...but they're not perfect, not obnoxiously overpowered. They have limits. Splash water on him and presto, he's out for a while...
All in all, a very intriguing and well-written character. You can officially consider me to have jumped on the Megsy bandwagon; he's just cool.

Mousse ("Ranma 1/2")
MOUSSE-SAMA!!! My first anime (as opposed to just cartoons in general) crush, and I still like him a lot, bless his dorky, half-insane little heart. This bishie with the unfortunate name is from Ranma 1/2, and he is....complex. He's very beautiful when his glasses are off but ACTS like a dork; he acts more normal but LOOKS like a dork when his glasses are on. He's elegant and clutzy, a villian and a sweet, loyal hero, has cool but very strange fighting techniques and a total, undying devotion to a woman who, in my opinion, doesn't deserve it. He's also cursed to turn into a duck whenever he's splashed with cold water--but he can still fight in that form! ;) Add to that a body with rippling golden muscles, emerald green eyes and long, thick, silky black hair that flows all the way to his waist like liquid midnight, and I think you can see WHY this guy is definitely Animated Lust material.

"Presto" the Magician ("Dungeons and Dragons" cartoon)
My favourite character from D&D (Eric's in second place). This adorable little auburn-haired mage is just one of the most FUN characters since...ever. He's a nerd, of course, but there's more to him than that--first, he's got easily the most entertaining magic "weapon" out of the group--a hat that he can pull almost ANYthing out of, or cast almost ANY spell with. Because he's not very good at getting exactly what he wants when he does a spell, it's funny, goofy, and allows for puns, weirdness, and slapstick, but at the same time--if he could ever get control of his magic--he'd easily be the most DANGEROUS person in the group. There have been times when he's cast some seriously heavy-duty spells; it gives you the feeling that the "nerd" is NOT the one to mess with! Secondly, even though he's a tiny little scrawny thing, he tends to try to do acts of physical bravery like the bigger, stronger characters do--knowing full WELL that he probably isn't strong or fast enough. Sometimes he doesn't think his way through things very well and just LEAPS into a situation headfirst--but he's resourceful and creative enough to think his way back out again, every time. Last but not least, he's very sweet, often feels ashamed that his magic isn't that good, and strikes me as rather down on himself and lonely. Awwww.
And besides, just look at those great big hazel eyes...

Puck ("Gargoyles") Oh, (sighs) BEEEEEEYOOOTEEFUL elf-boy! Sooooo pretty! Okay, sorry, enough of the fangirlish swooning, but I cannot believe I didn't fall for this character much earlier, when I FIRST watched the show. Okay, so he can be a bit annoying, what with all his pranks and tricks, but still, you gotta kinda feel for him, considering what happens to him by the end of the series...
And then there's the fact that I already knew and very well liked his voice-actor from Star Trek... ;)
Of course, this is not all there is to dear Puck; he has...OTHER facets to his, ahem, character. But to avoid giving away spoilers to the maybe three "Gargoyles" fans left in the universe who haven't seen very far into the show yet and also somehow have avoided reading spoilers on the 'net, I will avoid saying WHAT I mean by those "other facets". But other fans who have seen the whole series/had it spoiled for themselves will know what I mean.
I like him a bit better this...way anyway. Beautiful, exotic, fun-loving and light-hearted...but with a definite streak of darkness underneath and more than enough power to be quite DANGEROUS should you tick him off enough. Also, in the end, he comes out rather sad and lonely, for reasons I won't get into 'cos they're spoilery. But trust me, the Trickster Fay is quite the worthy addition to this harem.

Rei, the Handsome Shapeshifter! ("Urusei Yatsura")
This sexy alien demon-boy is just TOO hot not to include. Unfortunately, he's as dumb as a brick and doesn't seem to have much personality. I personally think that if you could hear him speaking his OWN language he'd seem smarter (he has trouble with Earth languages), but that's just a theory; in the series he's presented as a complete lunkhead. So I guess I'm including him for sheer, unadulterated lust purposes and no higher reasons or likeable personality traits or interesting skills at all. Well, so sue me, this IS a harem after all. ;) Anyway, he's bright enough to fly a spaceship!--so he can't be completely brainless. Oh, and he tends to shapeshift into a gigantic....thingie....and stomp Tokyo a bit whenever he gets in a bad mood. I think I'll post him outside the doors to the harem as a bouncer.

Ren, Prince of Octopon ("Dark Water").
From "The Pirates of Dark Water"--just called "Dark Water" when I first saw it--Ren is another very early animated crush. I think he might've been the second after Link. Well, what can I say: This boy is sweet, noble, heroic, agile, fast, good with a sword, fairly intelligent, and has some of the most EXOTIC looks I've ever seen: Chocolate-brown skin with slanted bright blue eyes and long, pale golden blonde hair in a ponytail! Eee! And he very kindly wears that sleeveless tunic to show off his muscular arms for us. ;) Normally I don't like the Hanna-Barbera style of artwork, but Dark Water was deliberately intended from the get-go to be more epic, have more continuity, and more character depth that any other cartoon on American TV at the time, and you know, for once, they actually managed to draw a guy interesting looking. Also the planet itself was awesome: a water-world where all the land is tiny islands and all the races are so seperated from each other that it's as if there are dozens of intelligent species on the same planet--the people from an island far away might look like ALIENS compared to you. It's very exotic and science-fictiony and leaves LOTS of room open for exploring--so who better to do it with than a really gorgeous babe? ;)

Reno (Video game: "Final Fantasy 7" for computer/Playstation) (no official picture currently available, so I used my own fan-art--better than nothing.)
Reno is the hard-drinking, slacker, and somewhat cowardly one of the Turks (a group of, essentially, professional thugs in nice suits, working for the evil, power-hungry Shinra corporation), but he's just so colourful and fun! His combination of flaming red hair with the Turks' required dark blue suit is quite striking. He can be seriously nasty and occasionally kills without remorse, since that's part of what his job is, but later on in the game he's forced to work with the heroes and they and the Turks develop a sort of grudging camaraderie. I have a thing for bad guys who are capable of occasionally working with the heroes...I always LOVE those episodes...Anyway, he's a thug but he's got a good side, hidden way down deep, and he's a colourful, likeable character. And did I mention he's HOT? :)

Ranma Saotome ("Ranma 1/2"...duh)
Oy...I feel a little bad for going after this character when it seems almost EVERY female who ever sees him even once on the show wants him as well, but, well, I can't help it. A whole bunch of anime babes can't be wrong, I guess. ;) Ranma Saotome is a handsome, muscular young man with long black hair in a pigtail and incredible martial arts skills. He's very flexible and agile and moves with catlike grace--although he wouldn't like me saying that, since he HATES cats. His personality seems jerky and arrogant and sexist on the surface, but underneath that he's really a decent guy and will go to great lengths to help out a friend (or fiancee) in trouble. So he's got a ton of fiancees; so? Like I care? ;)
Oh, and incidentally, when he's splashed with cold water he turns into a girl. So for those of you bisexuals out there...I present: the perfect mate. ;)

Schmendrick the Magician ("The Last Unicorn")
I'm not EXACTLY sure if I'd call Schmendrick a lust object, per se....although he is kind of cute in his way...all I know is that when I watched "The Last Unicorn", this "failed" mage became my very favourite character no two ways about it no contest forget it don't even TRY the instant he showed up on the screen! From then on, I liked him in every scene, I don't know why. There was just something that made me instantly glom onto him. I think it's also a bit of that sweet, pathetic, "loser-wizard" thing I've got going on with Presto and Rincewind (who is a book character and won't be appearing here); the sympathy you get when someone keeps trying so hard to be good at something and never quite makes it. Also, unpredictable spells often make for humour and I appreciate a guy who can make me laugh. So, lust or not, Schmendrick is definitely here to stay. And be wary of wousing a wizard's wath! Er...rousing a rizard's...Look, just don't make any of the magicians in my harem angry, okay? ;)

Rufus Shinra ("Final Fantasy 7") (no decent official picture currently available, so, again, used my own fan-art).
The son of the original President Shinra, Rufus is forced to take the reins of power at a rather young age...and despite his cool attitude and bluster and liking of his new power and status, he's not really ready for it. He's arrogant and snotty and acts all cool, but the truth is he's really pretty much a puppet president to his older, wilier, more experienced cabinet members. In looks, he's a beautiful little thing with delicate features, porcelain complexion, deep blue eyes and a thick thatch of strawberry-blonde hair, which he is continuously flipping back in a gesture that is totally him. (Shutaro Mendou VERY MUCH reminds me of a Japanese Rufus; they are very much alike in looks and personality and background, etc.) And he dresses--in a long white trench-coat, black turtleneck, black leather gloves, and holding a revolver--like a dashing, sinister James Bond villian or something. He's just too cool. ;)

Shutaro Mendou ("Urusei Yatsura")
This handsome brunette is a complete and total SNOT, but he's gorgeous and...there's just something about a man with a sword. I also really like his fashion sense, all in white, simple and elegant. He's also, however, smarter than he seems at first, and even though he thinks he's god's gift to women and treats all other men like dirt, he's got some sympathetic qualities, such as claustrophobia and fear of the dark. He's also got over FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS (! I don't think that's really possible, to have a trillionaire...) or will once he inherits it; until then, he's got a gigantic mansion and an enourmous private army that could probably take over at least all of Asia before lunchtime without breaking a sweat! Why his family has this and exactly what they're planning to do with is is unclear; but at any rate, Mendou is providing the space, and the monetary backing for this harem. We're all crashin' over at his huge mansion, where each of us can have not one but several rooms to ourselves, and his money will be able to feed us all for, well, probably forever. Thanks, Mendou! (Not that I ASKED him ahead of time, of course. We all just showed up on the doorstep with suitcases...)

Vyse the Blue Rogue ("Skies of Arcadia")
Ah, VYSE-BABY!! The main hero of Skies of Arcadia (which, you may have figured out by now, is basically Bishounen City--and there are many I'm NOT including on this list because they were more minor characters (Prince Daigo, Hans, Ilchymis, Domingo...)) and possibly my FAVOURITE main good-guy hero of a video game, ever. Well, okay, after Link anyway. When I first played Arcadia, I had just finished Final Fantasies 7 and 8, both of whose main characters were moody, gloomy, rude, nasty and cold. After Cloud and Squall, Vyse was EXACTLY the breath of fresh air I really needed! He's energetic, fun, silly, has a wicked sense of humour, is basically a good guy but can fast-talk the legs off a chair, and relaxes in a sexy, lounging kind of way. He's also a little guy, which I like, small and wiry and fast with thick auburn hair and pretty hazel eyes, and his way of fighting with two swords at once is just too COOL--almost more like dancing than fighting. And his fashion sense kicks arse--that weird sort of futuristic neo-pirate look--he's loyal to his friends, and ends up saving the known universe--what else could you want in a guy? ;)

Kurt Wagner aka "Nightcrawler" ("X-Men: Evolution")
Only the Evolution version; I don't know enough about the comics to judge them, and in the movies...well, he was kinda cute I guess in "X-2", but that's the only one he got anything approaching a real part in. But this little semi-anime, Gargoyles-style-influenced blue elf-boy is just adorable beyond belief. The delicate features, the uber-cool pointed ears, the longish hair...he's short and slender but wiry, which is EXACTLY my type...it was kind of inevitable the second I started actually watching the show, come to think of it.
He's also kind of a dork, and the fact that he's (a) played by the same voice actor as (the English-language dub version of) Mousse and (b) spends a good portion of the show chasing after a girl who doesn't want him, as well, doesn't hurt anything with me either. Add into that his truly heartbreaking constant quest to be accepted by a world that will only see him as a monster, the freaky and dark side-effects of his powers, and his...rather...interesting family, and you can see why I fell for this one.

Rune Walsh ("Phantasy Star IV")
This stylish young man with the long blue ponytail is a powerful Esper--that's, er, the PS universe's equivalent of "wizard" more or less, considering they have neato powers, wear robes and mysterious cloaks, use staves for their weapons and also to help use their special abilities, etc. Although they're called "techniques" not "spells". Anyway, Rune is an interesting guy--not only is he pretty, but he's a smart-arse, independent, doesn't follow orders, cocky and...has far more to him than originally meets the eye. There's also a hinting that he used to have a relationship with Alys Brangwyn, the Hunter, and just enough is said to get you intrigued, but not enough to tell you everything. He's always been one of my favourites from that game.

13950 people have been allowed to gaze upon the beauty of Captain Chaotica!!'s harem--but NOT touch!--since August 26, 2002. And they either tried to grab a few of her bishies and met with EXTREME pain, or wandered away shaking their heads and wondering, "Who IS this crazy woman...?!"
