Profile: Lex Goof

NAME: Alexis ("Lex"/Lexy") Rochelle Goof
AGE: 17
RELATIVES: Daughter of Maximillian and Roxanne Goof, granddaughter of George* and Marian Leigh** Goof (and whatever Roxanne's parents' names are), and for all those relatives in the family photo album that Goofy has been known to show to Max, just...add another "great" on there. :P
PLACE OF RESIDENCE: Spoonerville, though she'd like to move to a big city someday. She's got her eye on St. Canard, especially...
APPEARANCE: Alexis is a rather tall, incredibly scrawny, lanky dog-person with black fur all over except on her face, long, floppy, thin black ears that dangle down slightly past her shoulders, and thick, fluffy red-auburn hair. Her bangs are permanently spiky/unruly (she gets that from her dad) and never lay flat, so she's decided not to care about that anymore. :P She has her mother's hair, her eyes...and the fact that she _lacks_ the distinctive Goof Clan front teeth is also Roxanne's genes speaking, and from her father, she got the black fur and long floppy ears--however, her height (she towers over both of her parents), lanky build, and genetic predispositoin towards skinniness no matter what you eat all came from _grandpa_--Goofy! :) Of course. She _is_ a Goof, after all, and it's gotta show _some_how...
PERSONALITY: Lex is a throwback to her grandfather in _other_ ways, too--instead of being more concerned with "cool" things and being accepted by her peers, etc., the way both of her parents (especially Max) are, Lexy would much rather just be herself. She wears whatever she likes/feels comfortable in, dances like a dork if the music grabs her no matter who's looking, and sings loudly to whatever she likes, even if it's way out of style. Though she's a bit brighter than her grandfather she's still somewhat on the dippy and clueless side--she looks all over the place for a pencil she's got stuck behind her ear, forgets what she walked into the room for, etc. that kind of thing, more often than the average person. But Alexis has Goofy's good traits, too--she is open-minded, unpretentious, doesn't judge people, gives EVERYBODY the benefit of the doubt (even _villians_, until they do something nasty in front of her and PROVE that they're "not nice"), full of life and energy, friendly and cheerful, willing to try almost ANYthing once, and throws herself into whatever she's currently doing, heart and soul, without complaint. (At least, not at first. She might complain after a _while_, though...)
SKILLS AND TALENTS: Despite the fact that Lexy isn't the brightest bulb in the box, she's not an _idiot_ either, and she does have _some_ talents/skills. She has a decent (if untrained) singing voice and can go into voices/characters at the drop of hat. She's fascinated by the superhero genre of comics and is a fairly good artist herself. She wants to go into voice-acting or maybe start her own comic book--but only if she can't move to St. Canard, meet some REAL superheroes, and maybe become one herself! ;)
(Hey, I never said she her aspirations were SANE... :P Then again, what about "Supergoof"? It DOES sort of run in the family...)
In the meantime, she'll casually "blow sideways through life", trying out many different part-time jobs, and not really care too much about the future. She's a happy-go-lucky type and figures there's always enough time to stop and have fun. :)
LIKES AND DISLIKES: When it comes to food, all she asks is that it be properly cooked and of reasonably decent quality. She's not fancy, our Lexy--more of a "burgers and fries" kinda gal. (Although she'll TRY exotic foreign food if it's put in front of her.) Clothes, she wears whatever she likes, regardless of whether it's in style or not. (The outfit she's wearing above comes from the "Retro-Future" look, which was really big several years ago (she's from the year 2024.) Now, however, it's considered, "ugh, so _teens_!") And as for music--she likes anything at all that catches her extremely long ears ;), including even "uncool" stuff like country music, classical, big band stuff, etc. She doesn't care what decade or even what _century_ it's from, "as long as it's good", as she would put it. A particular favourite style of hers at the moment is ragtime, brought to her attention by the "New Ragtime" craze that was sweeping the country in the early 2020's, but she likes bits of about everything. EXCEPT Powerline...on account of the fact that when she was a little kid, her parents used to play those CD's all the _time_, and she got sick of it! :P

*Goofy's first name...well, I've seen him referred to as "Goofy Goof" by fans on many places, but I have yet to hear anybody CALL him by that as his full name. In my opinion, "Goofy" could just be a nickname of his _last_ name (such as how somebody named "Smith" might be called "Smitty" or Jones could be called "Jonesy")--and also a DESCRIPTIVE nickname, of course. (snicker) So in my opinion, the question of what his _first_ name is, is still open.
So why "George"? Simple. Well, for one thing, it also begins with a "G", so we still have the alliteration thing going on, and it's a plain ordinary-folks kinda name, so it fits him. But it's also a reference--in some of the older "Goofy" cartoon shorts, from the '50s, Goofy wasn't Goofy at all, but rather a whole other character, named "George Geef". Mr. Geef is a bit smarter than Goofy, richer (middle-class rather than poor/working class, as Goofy is almost always portrayed), speaks with no accent at all, no "garshes" or "hyucks", works at an office job--and has a HUMAN wife! Despite the fact that he _looks_ a lot like the Goofster, he is clearly a different person.
So, by my naming Goofy "George Goof", I'm sort of combining the old with the new--the first name of his alternate persona from the '50s, and the idea that "Goof" is his _last_ name comes from, of course, the modern day--Goof Troop on. At any rate, I think "George Goof" is a decent name, and fits him pretty well. :)

**Marian Leigh Goof--yes, I'm aware that nothing is ever said in canon about Max's mother, and yes, I'm also VERY much aware that it's a huge fangirl _cliche_ to make up a mother for him oneself, but I don't care. I read a really _bad_ fanfic about Max's mother one day and it made me HAVE to make up a _good_ version, right afterwards, as a reaction. I do have a personality, background, appearance, and story for how she met and fell in love with the young Goofy, as well as the story of what _happened_ to her exactly, all made up--but none of it will probably ever see the light of day. Suffice it to say that Marian Leigh Goof is _not_ just a name, she's a full character. Maybe one day she'll make it into a published fanfic; maybe not. (shrug)
