"Shocking Destiny..."
This is what Gigawatt USED to look like...before her...er, change. Here we see
young Miss Sputterspark at about age 17--shortly before The Accident happens that
will change her from a sweet, earnest, brilliant little geek into a crazed
supercharged supervillainess. (It's not _much_ before...the outfit I have her
wearing is, in fact, a "feminized" version of the very last outfit Elmo
wore--what he had on when he started running on the treadmill on the night of the
prom.) I wish I had been able to make her features look more feminine, but oh well...at
least she's still kind of cute. ;) Notice the retro look of the clothes--the big wide lapels,
the huge flat buttons (my dad's old coats from around this time period had buttons like that), and,
of course, the BELL-BOTTOMS! :P I dunno; I think it's actually a rather _nice_ look on her, and the
hairdo is cute too. Anyway, according to _my_ opinion, the reunion in "Clash Reunion" was from TWENTY
years ago, not just 10 (I really can't see Darkwing as being only 27 years old and acting that "middle-aged-fatherly",
myself) and so that's why the clothes are this way--I see the flashback part of that episode as having taken place in the year
1973, not 1983.
The background is symbolic--it's lightning bolts, of course, but I made them all faded out (instead of the FLOURESCENTLY bright
colours I would _normally_ use for lightning) because they're not supposed to mean that she means, or "stands for", lightning or the power
of electricity _now_...instead, the bolts are meant to sort of subtly _foreshadow_ her future. (Her _near_ future...)
And I trust I _don't_ have to explain why she's holding a light bulb? Thought not. ;)
