Paradox! This is a scene from my own story,
"Phantom Hero (The Innocents"). In this scene...well, I'm not going to tell you what's going on!
I want people to read the story for themselves and find out! ;) (Although those of you who are (a)
observant and (b) knowledgeable about the show at the "deep fan, have seen ALL the episodes at least twice" level
will be able to make a pretty good guess about _part_ of what's going on here, just by looking at it...)
Anyway...okay, I'll throw you a bone--it's a time-travel story (duh) and is most heavily based off of one of my
favourite episodes of the series ever, "Clash Reunion" (although there are elements of other episodes I like, such as "Time
and Punishment" in there, too). I tried to make it as well-written and in-character as I could, and there are (gasp!) absolutely NO
Mary Sue characters, and nobody "hooks up"--there's no fangirlishness whatsoever! Anyway, you can find this story both at
