"Willow Barclay". This was basically just an experiment, and my first attempt at drawing anything even vaguely in the Darkwing universe at all. After seeing Bushroot's failed attempt to make a female mutant-plant duck bride, I kinda wondered what one WOULD have looked like. This eventually led to Regina Bushroot, Elmyra Sputterspark, and the "Switchverse" itself, but first, I drew this. Willow Barclay turned out to be sort of a...duck _dryad_, not the same kind of plant as Bushie at all. Her last name comes from a Star Trek character that Bushroot strongly reminds me of: Reginald (!) Barclay (he's a shy, lonely, pathetic little "outcast" nerd who goes around _making_ friends--literally--on the Holodeck, and is known for being a coward and made fun of by his comrades...and he even once had the nasty nickname "Broccoli"!--a vegetable? See? See? ;)) "Barclay" also sounds a bit like "bark", as in on a tree of course. "Willow" is bloody obvious, considering. It's also named after the character Willow from the Landover books by Terry Brooks--she's got green skin, green hair, green eyes, and turns into a tree once a month! She even had her baby as a _seed_! Yep, same old, same old... ;)
