It's WONDERSWAN! Don't even ASK...I'm not sure which show this would go into...Okay, the deal is,
there's this hand-held video-game console, in Japan, called the "Wonder-Swan". Yes, that is its real name. :P The instant I heard that,
I thought, "Hey, that sounds like it should be a superhero from the Darkwing or DuckTales universe!"
And, being me, it's no sooner thought than actually drawn. :P I had fun with her look...it's got many influences from various things. The spandex jumpsuit,
flowing red cape, and letter on her front are all classic superhero fare. The cyber-armour, with the TRON-like circuitry and buttons and wires and everything,
are because she IS, after all, named after a video game system. (I'm not sure what her powers ARE, aside from flying. Perhaps she can communicate with/control
computers at will, turn herself into an electrical impulse and travel through the internet to get around the world very quickly...something like that. Oh, and of course, as a
side-effect, she can kick absolutely anyone's ARSE at any video game. :P) The eyes are a bit more anime than Disney, because it's a Japanese video game system she's named
after. And the curly hair and thick high heels on the boots are meant to look sorta retro-'40s--like from the old, classic days of Superman, or something. Just kinda retro, is what I
was going for.
This is not a "real" character that I'm planning to actually write into a story anywhere, just a joke, really. If I do, she'd be best used as an aside reference, like when
Darkwing mentions "Captain Protozoa and Sponge-Boy"...
